Pulse Transmission & Echo Analysis

The system transmits acoustic pulses from a compact linear array mounted to the vessel hull while underway, and analyzes echoes from natural water-column reflectors — no artificial targets or repeated instrument deployment required.

Ocean Sound Speed Profile (SSP) Extraction

Proprietary signal processing algorithms extract the ocean sound speed profile (SSP) from the received echo data — covering approximately 0–30 m depth with a 1 m array and up to 0–90 m with a 3 m array, in the upper water column where sound speed variation is most significant for sonar applications.

Continuous, Underway Coverage

Ocean sound speed profile (SSP) data is obtained continuously along the vessel track — not just at individual cast locations — supporting better sonar accuracy and survey efficiency.
